Community education helps to change hearts and inspire young people to live compassionately – and creatively.
Siloam Mission’s Community Education consistently discovers fresh ways to engage students all over the province. We regularly tour school groups at Siloam and also speak to assemblies and in classrooms, building relationships with schools and school divisions breaking down the stereotypes of homelessness.
Our Community Education Coordinator John Janzen is also a well known musician and song-writer. “JJ” is also the creator of the children’s book and CD Blink’s Garden.
It takes a community to make change happen.
The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next generation.
At Siloam Mission, hope begins with a meal. It is by first filling basic needs that we can help our guests begin to look to the future.
