The Madison is a supportive housing facility in Wolseley that provides 85 people a dignified place to call “home.”
The Madison building in Winnipeg’s Wolseley neighbourhood was purchased in April 2011 to help serve those who are homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless as a supportive housing facility.
Residents at The Madison often face barriers to employment, have physical or cognitive disabilities or struggle with mental health illnesses.
The Madison is a place of intentional community building, with residential relations coordinators and a core group of volunteers on-site who help people break out of their shell by organizing activities which integrate them into the community and build self-esteem.
